Shift planning with availability instead of callbacks.
Shift planning in temporary staffing usually starts with a round of phone calls. In alluvo you open a window, and your employees enter their availability for the following month in the app themselves. Mandatory weekends, target sizes and surcharges are rules in the schedule, and your employees see it where they look anyway.

At a glance
The schedule starts with availability, not with a phone call.
- Employees submit their availability for the following month themselves, in the window you open.
- Mandatory weekends and target sizes are rules, not agreements.
- Surcharges are in the schedule before anyone accepts the shift.
From everyday work
Three scenes from the monthly schedule. The second one takes place at 11 p.m.

Availability is in the system.
You open a window, and your employees submit their availability for the following month in the employee app. You plan with what they entered instead of what got lost in the chat.
A thing of the past
The availability arrives on WhatsApp. From half of them.
On the 15th you ask the group who can work when next month. Some reply with voice messages, some not at all, and you build the schedule from what there is.
The consequenceThe schedule rests on guesses. Every cancellation afterwards costs a call, often several, and some shifts end up unfilled.

The schedule is checked against working time law.
The "run the shift schedule" skill creates the monthly schedule for an assignment, reassigns shifts and checks against the German Working Time Act (ArbZG) while doing so. A rest period that is too short is flagged before the schedule is published. Checks for other countries' rules are planned.
A thing of the past
The scheduler checks the rest period. At 11 p.m., in his head.
Late shift until 10 p.m., early shift from six the next morning because someone dropped out at the client. In the schedule it looks like two perfectly normal shifts.
The consequenceBetween them there are eight hours instead of the legal eleven. In Germany that is an administrative offence, and your employee drives tired into the next shift.1

The surcharge is in the shift.
You set up surcharges in shift planning, and they are in the schedule before anyone accepts the shift. Whoever plans sees what the shift costs before agreeing.
A thing of the past
The Sunday surcharge shows up in payroll. A month later.
An employee spontaneously takes a Sunday shift. In the schedule it looks like any other, and that it costs a surcharge is only noticed by payroll.
The consequenceYou pay the surcharge to your employee. Whether the client pays it too depends on whether someone puts it on the invoice in time.

Questions about shift planning.
How does my employees' availability get into the schedule?
You set an availability window, and your employees submit in the employee app when they can work the following month. Planning then uses those entries.
Which rules can I set for the schedule?
Planning rules such as mandatory weekends and target sizes, plus the surcharges. They are set once in shift planning instead of being agreed anew for every schedule.
Can my client create the schedule themselves?
Yes, in the client portal. Your client creates schedules there, and your scheduling team fills them in alluvo.
What if the client sends their schedule as a file?
Then you upload it, and your employees see it as a document in the employee app.
Seeing is easier than reading.
