Anyone who uses Claude or ChatGPT in the office knows the routine: ask a question, copy the answer, paste it into your own system. The assistant knows a lot about temporary staffing, but nothing about your employees, your clients and your assignments. The alluvo plugin closes exactly that gap. It connects the assistant you already work with to your alluvo workspace. After that, it handles scheduling, recruiting, contracts, the shift plan and hours approval directly in alluvo.

In this post I show you how to set up the plugin in Claude and in ChatGPT, and which sentences to start with.

What the plugin brings

The plugin does not add new abilities to your assistant. It teaches it the guided workflows alluvo already masters and makes them findable through ordinary sentences.

  • The connection to your workspace. Every action runs in your alluvo and with your permissions. What you are not allowed to do in alluvo, the assistant does not do on your behalf either.
  • 35 ready-made workflows for staffing agencies. In the AI world they are called skills: instructions the assistant looks up itself when needed. They tell it when a workflow applies, which steps are needed in which order and what to watch out for.
  • A preview before every change. You name the result, alluvo sets the sequence, checks the guardrails and puts the whole thing in front of you for approval.

The instructions are delivered by the alluvo server at runtime. They are therefore always up to date and follow the settings and permissions of your organization, without any plugin update.

What you need

  1. A free alluvo account. The plugin is the connection to your workspace and therefore needs an account to talk to. Installation and connection cost nothing. The AI work the assistant does afterwards runs on your account's credits.
  2. A subscription to Claude or ChatGPT. That is where the plugin runs. Which of the two you choose makes no difference to alluvo.

Set up in Claude

In claude.ai and in Claude Desktop it is three steps in the interface, with no configuration file:

  1. Open Settings → Plugins → Add → Add marketplace.

  2. Enter this address in the URL field and sync:

    alluvoai/ki-plugin-personaldienstleister

  3. Install the plugin alluvo from the list and connect it: in the plugin, under Connectors, alluvo is already listed. Be signed in to alluvo in your browser, because the step runs through it.

If you work with Claude Code in the terminal, two commands are enough. Then call /mcp and sign in with your alluvo account.

/plugin marketplace add alluvoai/ki-plugin-personaldienstleister
/plugin install alluvo@alluvoai

Without a GitHub account, use the marketplace hosted by alluvo itself in the first step:

/plugin marketplace add https://api.alluvo.ai/plugins/marketplace.json

Set up in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, someone with administrator rights imports the plugin once for the whole organization. After that, every member connects with their own alluvo account.

  1. Once for the organization: Admin → Plugins → Add → Import marketplace, with this address. Leave the Path field empty.

    https://github.com/alluvoai/ki-plugin-personaldienstleister

  2. Every member opens the plugin and clicks the alluvo entry under MCP servers. Here too: be signed in to alluvo in your browser.

Important to know: ChatGPT shows plugins with their own MCP server only in the desktop app. If you work in the browser, use the manual connection, see below. The import releases the plugin, but not access to the data: every member gets that with their own account.

In the terminal with Codex it is three commands:

codex plugin marketplace add alluvoai/ki-plugin-personaldienstleister
codex plugin add alluvo@alluvoai
codex mcp login alluvo

Without the plugin: the manual connection

For clients that do not know plugins, and for ChatGPT in the browser, there is the direct connection. You create a custom connector and enter this server address:

https://api.alluvo.ai/mcp

In Claude the connector is called Custom in the interface, after which Claude sends you to the alluvo login. In ChatGPT you switch on developer mode under Settings → Security and sign-in and create a connection on chatgpt.com/plugins with the same address. Enter alluvo as the name. It is the same address with the same permission check as through the plugin.

What to start with

You do not have to memorize any command. Name the result you want, and the assistant looks up the matching workflow. A few sentences to try (the German-law workflows, such as the temporary staffing contract, apply to agencies operating under German law):

  • "What is on today?"
  • "Who is on the bench right now?"
  • "Create a temporary staffing contract based on the last email I received." (German law)
  • "Ms. Aydin is out tomorrow, organize the cover."
  • "Place the three employees on the bench with existing clients."
  • "Find duplicate companies and show me beforehand what merging would change."
  • "Who is looking for care staff around Stuttgart right now?" (job data from the German Federal Employment Agency; other countries are planned)

Simply asking a question still works, of course. Before every change you see a preview and decide yourself.

All routes with every intermediate step and the directory of the 35 workflows are on the page Install the plugin. What the assistant does with the plugin is shown on the page about the alluvo operator. And if you do not have an account yet: Get started for free.
