# Dunning software for staffing agencies.

March payroll has been paid, the invoice for it is still open. The dunning software in alluvo works on the same open items as invoicing. Dunning levels run as a stored procedure, and it calculates default interest at the rate you set once.

alluvo, with all modules

One data model Part of alluvo, with the same data as every other app.

At a glance

Open items speak up by themselves.

1. Dunning levels are a stored procedure, and new cases start in it.
2. Default interest above the statutory rate: set once, always calculated.
3. You decide per switch what may run automatically and what may not.

From everyday work

## Two scenes from accounting. Both cost you interest.

1. Mit alluvo 01

   ### The procedure advances the dunning level.

Dunning levels in alluvo are a stored procedure, and every new case starts in it. What runs automatically and what you trigger yourself, you set per switch.

   A thing of the past

   ### Reminders go out when someone has time. *So rarely.*

Someone checks open items between two billing runs, with a filtered spreadsheet. Which invoice has already had a reminder is in a comment or in a colleague's head.

**The consequence**You pay the wages up front. Every week an invoice stays open unnoticed, you finance your clients.
2. Mit alluvo 02

   ### The procedure calculates the interest.

You store the rate for default interest once, including one above the statutory rate. alluvo calculates it for every open item in the dunning procedure.

   A thing of the past

   ### Nobody calculates the default interest. *The client is delighted.*

The invoice has been overdue for six weeks. The reminder goes out, politely worded, with the open amount and without interest.

**The consequence**In German business-to-business transactions, you are entitled from default to interest of nine percentage points above the base rate, plus a flat fee of 40 euros. Whoever does not claim it gives it away. Other countries have their own rules.[1]

## Invoicing. The same data.

From the billing run to the reminder: what turns hours worked into money. [More about the module](https://alluvo.ai/en/product/invoicing)

The billing run writes the invoices. You approve them.

  - A billing run creates the invoices for a period, from approved hours, not from a second list.
  - Invoices, payments and credit notes sit side by side as records, not as PDFs in a folder.
  - E-invoices go out individually or in a batch.

Questions

## Questions about the dunning software.

**Does alluvo send reminders automatically?**

If you allow it. You set per switch which steps run automatically; everything else you trigger yourself.

**Can I define my own dunning levels?**

Yes. You set up the dunning procedure yourself, and every new case starts in it. That way your team sends reminders by the same levels, whoever happens to be checking the open items.

**Can I give a client more time?**

Yes. You extend the payment term on the invoice itself, so the agreement and the due date are in the same place.

**What if a client never pays?**

Then you write off the open remainder. How much may be written off is limited by a value you set in invoicing.

## Footnotes

1. § 286 (3) BGB (default at the latest 30 days after due date and receipt of the invoice), § 288 (2) BGB (default interest where no consumer is involved) and § 288 (5) BGB (flat fee). § 288 (3) BGB allows a higher interest rate on another legal basis, for example under the contract. ↩
2. One price per employee on assignment and month; it includes all modules and therefore every app. All amounts plus VAT. Everything else is on the [pricing page](https://alluvo.ai/en/pricing). ↩
