   Keys, devices and tools are records in alluvo assigned to a person. Who has what is on the record instead of being asked around.

   The issue is written in a book at reception, if someone entered it. When a key is needed, a round of questions goes through the office.
   
   **The consequence**If the key stays missing, the lock cylinder is replaced, and with a master key system possibly more. The bill comes to you.

   What has been issued hangs on the person and shows up when they leave. The list is ready before the last working day is over.

   ### The exit is processed. *The work phone is not.*
   
   HR takes care of termination, reference and final pay. That Mr Weber still has a tablet and a tool case is in none of these documents.

   ### The return is with the item.
   
   For every item issued, alluvo records who has it and when it comes back.

   A measuring device was lent out for an assignment. Nobody noted when it should come back.

## Questions about inventory management.

**What can I record in inventory management?**

Devices, hardware, tools and keys. Every item is a record with an owner and the date it comes back.

**What happens to the equipment when an employee leaves?**

Because everything issued hangs on the person, it shows what has not been returned yet when they leave. You do not need to keep a second list for that.

**How does equipment relate to the fleet?**

Both belong to the People & Time module and follow the same mechanics: one item, one owner, one return. The fleet adds licence checks and odometer readings.
